ABOUT THE SHOW

Directed by Troy Nickerson and produced by Chris Jensen, The Art of the Possible: Songs for a Marginally Less Terrible World runs for just one weekend. In this one-of-a-kind concert event, seven of our region's finest singers bring you the anthems that moved mountains, the ballads that kept people going, and yes, a few songs that perfectly capture the absurdity of it all. Because sometimes the most radical thing you can do is laugh, let someone else do the singing, and remember you're not alone in this.

Performances will be on Thursday July 23, Friday July 24, and Saturday July 25 at 7:30 pm in The Listening Room at Hamilton Studio (1427 W Dean).

Some artists leave a lasting mark on a theater community long after they step away from the spotlight.

Abbey Crawford is one of those artists.

🔥Tickets are on sale now: https://www.simpletix.com/e/the-art-of-the-possible-songs-for-a-margin-tickets-270077

For more than 30 years, Abbey was an award-winning actor and vocalist throughout the Pacific Northwest, earning a reputation for her talent, warmth, and generosity on and off the stage. While she no longer performs regularly, her love for Spokane's theater community remains as strong as ever.

We're delighted that Abbey will be part of The Art of the Possible: Songs for a Marginally Less Terrible World, and grateful for the experience, heart, and joy she brings to this project.

When she's not supporting local theater, you'll likely find her singing karaoke, collecting gnomes and other whimsical companions, or hiking through Pacific Northwest rainforests.

Well, this is a nice problem to have.

Our final two performances of Hand to God are officially s0ld 0ut.

When we launched Theater on the Verge, we hoped Spokane would show up for bold, intimate, slightly weird theater. Over the last three weeks, you've done exactly that.

Thank you to everyone who bought a ticket, spread the word, brought a friend, laughed, gasped, winced, and stuck around afterward to talk with us.

We're so grateful to our brilliant cast and intrepid crew for their time, dedication, and talent. What a way to end this run.

Troy and Chris sat down with Maeve Griffith on "Out and About" to discuss Hand to God, community theater, faith, grief, puppetry, and several other topics that probably shouldn't belong in the same sentence.
