And just like that, these little tulips are all packed up and headed to a new home tomorrow!

I had a lot of fun doing a quick live painting this weekend. Look for another one in the near future!

Hi! If you love chaotic art videos, then welcome 🤗 Just wanted to invite you into my art room to paint with me today. Also if you like these little tulips, they are up for grabs! Just drop a comment below to bid on them. Minimum bid is $10. I’m not making any prints of these so this one is the one and only! Bidding will close Sunday at 8pm.

This is all my experiment to stop overthinking and just paint 🌷thanks for being here!

Struggling today watching the news. As a mom and a teacher, as an American, I’m mourning for our country and for Renee Good, Alex Pretti, Liam Ramos and all those being affected.

When I was 5 years old I once tried to runaway away from the aquarium with a starfish. I can’t lie, I still think these ocean creatures are fascinating. And as an artist, I love how many colors, shapes and textures you can find in nature. If you’ve ever had the chance to look at tide pools, each one is like a mysterious treasure hunt.

These 2 tidepool paintings are the intro to my first series of paintings of 2026! This year my goal is to paint my own migration from the of California to eastern Washington.

On the top you’ll see a bat star and a purple urchin. In the second painting is an ochre star. I used molding paste and iridescent paint to create texture and dimension. These paintings will change from every angle and throughout the day as the light changes, just like the ocean.

Both are 6x6 acrylic on canvas. Comment below with your favorite coastal sea animal and maybe you’ll see it make an appearance in this paint series!

If you’re passing through the , be sure to stop and check out ! They are hosting a winter art show and have a really cool space. I dropped off two of my paintings and can’t wait to see the other featured artworks!

Just a little reminder that if you’re feeling low, you can stop and take a moment to remember what you already have that brings you gratitude on a daily basis. Try drawing a simple flower, write in the things you’re grateful for and color in each petal for a little moment of mindfulness. Do this with your kids crayons or your favorite art supplies.

January is about returning to my roots. I’m challenging myself to look for calls for art that speak to me and submit my work to keep building my portfolio and growing my experience. I found one for west coast artists and I’ve decided to paint a mini series that reminds me of growing up near the ocean. These are some of my sketches and colors I’m planning to focus on. I want to use colors that remind me of the actual memories but also some fun pops of color that highlight my feelings of the ocean. I’m thinking about turning the mini series into a year-long project that I’ll call “Migration” and do a little series on each place I’ve lived. It would be a huge project but I have so many ideas to keep it going!

How do you find focus and direction in your own personal projects?
