The Paintball Combine is a place where players come to be something and do something more, something bigger.
TRAIN: We bring in some of the most respected and best known professional players in paintball and allow them to share with you their take on the game from their own unique perspective. With each bringing something different to the table, they possess an ability to bring out and improve something in your own skill set that will help you to become a more well rounded player for yourself and your team and that is just the beginning. Pairing with the BKi Training Program, the learning experience of the 2020 Combine is unparalleled. Implemented at the 2019 Combine, the Universal Scoring & Metrics System will return with quantifiable scores given to each participant in each set of drills.
SHOWCASE: As players and then teams at a this years Combine run through drills, scrimmages and in this particular event - actual competition - coaches and scouts have the best opportunity to see a player in action, under many different circumstances. We have brought in many of the games top minds to help us create a quantifiable metrics system that will put into numbers the improvements a player is making before, during and after the event.
COMPETE: We then build teams from comparable players who the pros feel will work well together to help you to not only showcase your new and improved talents - but to build upon them in a team setting - without having to bring a team. Like skilled players will be assigned to a Combine team to compete in the MVPS Winter Classic Event on Saturday and/or Sunday.
Paintball Combine participants are not required to train ahead of the event - but the drills we are releasing monthly leading up to the Combine are designed to give you an idea of what to expect and to help you measure marked improvement before, during and following the event. The drill can be found on the Paintball Combine website.
And YES!! We will absolutely explain the hows and whys of each drill at the event and make sure everyone knows the objective. We will also run players in heats where like players will train together and the PROfessors will adapt the teachings to the heat they are working with.
The "grading" system is the only aspect of what we are doing that has been changed - and you will now be able to grade yourself the same we will "grade" you and that is soley based on quantifiable metrics.
When you access the drills - you will have the exact set up measurements we will be using at the combine. The PROfessors will explain how they will be collecting data. This is NOT based on competition in the sense that there are contests. The data for YOU is the SUM = meaning, you should see a noticeable difference from when you start each drill to after you master it.
Players can be any age 10+ to attend the Combine and of no particular skill level, they just need to have their own equipment in order to participate. We will work hard to keep like players together based in part on this criteria as well as a few other factors.
One tremendous benefit of the Combine are the Coaches / Scout and Pro players we have working with us. The networking that this event allows is a chance to make connections in a setting that very rarely presents itself. The event staff truly gets to know you - and this year we have a special Paintball Combine Liason Mr Jeff Stein who currently owns Semi Pro Team The New England Hurricanes , was the team manager for the Semi - Pro Team Bay State Bandits and owned and ran one of the only Pro Paintball teams in New England the New England Hurricanes. Jeff has tremedous insight into good fit scenarios for players and teams and stays current on the constant comings and goings as well as tryouts and opportunity for players.
