When it comes to holding a microphone, proper technique can significantly impact sound quality and overall performance. Here’s a guide on the correct and incorrect ways:

Now mind you mic differs and sound engineers as well but I still feel there are right ways to do a thing irrespective..

Correct Way to Hold the Mic:

1. Grip: Hold the microphone by the handle (the lower part), not near the grille.

2. Distance: Keep the microphone about 1-2 inches from your mouth for clear sound.

3. Angle: Tilt it slightly (about 45 degrees) toward your mouth to avoid popping sounds from plosive words.

4. Stability: Maintain a firm but relaxed grip, and keep your hand still to avoid handling noise.

Wrong Ways to Hold the Mic:

1. Gripping the Mic Head: Holding the microphone by the grille can block sound and cause muffled audio.

2. Too Close or Too Far: Holding it too close can cause distortion, while too far may result in weak audio.

3. Covering the Mic with Your Hand: Wrapping your hand around the entire mic can affect sound quality and create feedback.

4. Pointing Away from Your Mouth: Holding the mic at a sharp angle away from your mouth reduces sound pickup.

👭 I will be running karaoke at the Dearborn Heights Moose Saturday June 26, 2021. Karaoke will start at 7:00pm - 11:00pm. So come on in & have a few drinks🍻🍹& mingle with some great people.

Karaoke will be in the BACK hall.

Also when you are purchasing any drinks you must show your membership card to the barmaid. All non members can not purchase drinks. Members must purchase for them. All non members must be signed in as well.
If a non members want to join the club right now would be a good time since the application fee is waived until July 31st.

Tomorrow night June 25, 2021 karaoke at the Livonia Elks. Karaoke starts at 7:30pm-11:30pm. Hope to see everyone down there. BTW they have great food as well.

Just a reminder I will be sanitizing the microphone in between each singer & I do have microphone covers. I will also have hand sanitizer by the monitor for people to use. Karaoke will be in the BACK hall.

You still need to be wearing your masks when walking around the club. There can only be 6 people per table & no you can’t push tables together.

I will be running karaoke at the Livonia Elks (Plymouth road east of Merriman road) on May 14, 2021.
Karaoke will be from 7:30pm until 11:00pm.
This event is open to the public. I do have hand sanitizer, mic covers, & I sanitize the mic in between each singer. If you have a corded mic you may bring that in & I will plug you into my board. 
If you are feeling ill please stay home until you feel better. You must wear your mask coming into the building & walking around the lodge. Hope to see you all there! 😁
