Let’s talk gear. Today we’re talking about our BUS+. To me, the SSL bus compressor is the sound of a record, and the BUS+ is just a bigger, cleaner version of the classic bus comp.

We were tracking the band and getting the basics down, but they wanted the vocals to help them stay in the right spot. So we setup a mic in the control room & the singer just did their thing. Sometimes you don't overthink it & just do what makes sense in the moment.
