Our Story

Using polymer clay, papier-mâché and paint, I create my own cast of whimsical and poignant characters. I find that I can bring “life” to any number of inanimate objects… bits of wood, discarded musical instruments, thrift store treasures... Each silent face shows up with a secret, a story, a message.

Studio time has become a spiritual practice for me. It’s an exercise in being fully present in the moment. I immerse myself in the tactile quality of the clay, the consistency of the paint, the richness of the colors. I fall in love with the subtle emotions that emerge upon the faces of my creations. The studio is my temple; the creative process my meditation.
