Sometimes we need to take a step back and be grateful.

I got home last night one minute before the show was supposed to start and I see somebody sitting there already waiting for it to start up. I instantly went to thinking the negative, are all the timers working., are all the controllers connected, is the schedule set right, will there be any lights out, will all the props work correctly and so on.

I’m watching the clock, it changes to 7:00 PM and the show starts, everything works and I start laughing. The people in the car probably thought I was crazy cause I’m sure they didn’t know I lived there, but I couldn’t help but to laugh that everything was working like it should and just had to take a moment to be thankful instead of negative. What a good feeling.

And so it begins… or has it even ended from last year? Controllers back out, sequencing a few new props in, adding songs, 3D printer going non stop, redoing mounts on the icicles so hopefully the wife doesn’t have to rescue them during hurricane winds again and if that isn’t enough, getting ready for a Halloween camping weekend where I’ll do a light show and have decided to add way more than last year. Excited and stressed at the same time.

Got the roof line all up today on the house. Hopefully a couple more weekends and we will be ready to start the Halloween 🎃 show.

Played around with a cheap matrix added this year but of course, it’s never good enough so we will run it this year but a new better version is being built for next year! Let the fun begin…. or continue.

Few props, few songs and we have a 4th of July show going for two weeks! 9-10 Sunday - Thursday and 9 - 11 Friday and Saturday as long as the props don’t melt!! 🥵
