In light of the current protests and the continued violent acts of racism, Project: Theatre would like to clearly state our support and investment in the Black Lives Matter movement. As the oldest student run theatre organization on campus, we are dedicated to providing a safe and inclusive space that fosters artistic expression for members of both the Mount Holyoke College community and of the Five Colleges. We recognize that this org and MHC’s theatre community have racial diversity issues. We want to do better in order to ensure all students feel empowered and included in our productions and events and are given the creativity and collaboration they deserve.
Going forward, we are continuing to discuss ways to promote diversity and inclusion. We will be considering shows, casts, and relationships, particularly between P:T Board and student membership, to ensure that everyone can participate and that all voices are heard. We are also beginning to have conversations about the possibility of having a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer on our Board to give more focus to this issue. If you have any questions or comments about our plan of action, please reach out as we would love to hear your ideas and thoughts. We look forward to continuing these conversations and making change as an organization on the campus of Mount Holyoke college.

Project: Theatre, in collaboration with Sunrise Movement South Hadley and Climate Change Action Theater, is proud to present the 2020 Student Body performance, a Climate Action Play Showcase! Plays include student submitted original work as well as plays from established playwrights.

Join us in Chapin Auditorium on Friday, Feb 7th at 7 PM, and Sat, Feb 8th at 2 PM.

Chapin Auditorium is accessible through an elevator on the south side of the building. The auditorium itself has no fixed seating, so wheelchairs and other mobility aids can easily be accommodated for. Accessible Parking is adjacent to the elevator door.
