We had a great time playing our annual gig at George's. Two hours of Christmas tunes, beer and fellowship. George's has wonderful wait-staff, to-die-for burgers, and an appreciative set of customers who are not afraid of hootin' and hollerin'. Great fun!

We started our quintet over twenty years ago playing Christmas Tunes for the Tannenbaum Forest in Amana, and have played there every year since. Needless to say we have perfected playing the genre.

Our "not-in-the picture-quintet" performed some adrenaline-inducing pre-game music for the Iowa/Iowa State football game. Over 1200 people watched the away-game on a big-screen at North liberty's Watch Party last Saturday. Oh...and Iowa State won!

Fountain City Brass Band has already clinched the first trophy at the Gateway Brass Band Championship in St. Louis. Now, they're on a quest for their second win. But who will stand in their way? Will it be the dynamic Chicago Brass Band, the formidable Sheldon Theatre Brass Band, the energetic MadWaukee Brass Band, or the hometown heroes, Iowa Brass?
