🕷️ A friend invited me to her house to make bead spiders and now I’m obsessed!

🕰️ Am going to have to make this a regular craft, I haven’t had much time to art this past year but this is one of those crafts I could start and finish in one sitting, which fits into my busy schedule quite nicely.

💖 Thank you, Anne, for teaching me how to make beaded spiders, and reminding me even the smallest window of time can be big enough to make art.

Just hanging out at Bartle Hall for the 2025 Home & Flower Show repping the studio and Gio’s Outdoors and Paradise Outfitters. It’s been such a good time meeting people and talking candles and kayaks!

My friend gifted me an art kit, it contained paints, a brush, and this adorable ceramic mushroom house.

Well, I can’t just paint a house and be done, so I dug out my collection of pebbles, wood slices, preserved moss, mushrooms, wire, fairy lights, clay, glues, crystals, and other bits and bobs, and set to work on my first miniature!

The gifted kit is from Cassie. Cassie had collected things over a period of time and she wanted to gift them to me, funny thing is, I had collected a few things over a period of time for her as well, so we planned an exchange for a couple weeks down the road. During this time I decided I’d make this miniature specifically for Cassie because she loves pieces like this, and since she had gifted me the mushroom house originally, I thought this full circle thing was sort of, IDK, kismet, I guess.

So as of this morning, ‘Karaoke In The Back’ is in its home, as can be seen in the first two photos, along with two mini trolls attending karaoke night!

Aw man, now I’m kicking myself for not making a microphone on a stand… welp, I know what I’m making next! 😄

💖🌿 Nature jars are my favorite! 🌿💖
This particular jar was created with solstice celebrations and moon rituals in mind.

Inside is a bed of moss, perched atop is a bird nest. I found the nest along a fence line just outside a friend’s horse barn; I love nests but what I found interesting about this one is the horse hair and strands of feed bag woven into it. Inside the nest are selenite, crystals, moss, and spiral orange peel. To seal the jar, I cut a piece of bark to fit the opening, and attached it using hot glue and wax from melted spell candles. Topped with five spell candles, one main candle representing self, and four others representing the directions and elements: North, South, East, West, Earth, Air, Water, and Fire.

I do not ship my nature jars, but if you are in the area and would like one I have plenty of material on hand and will put one together for you.
Small jars are $30-$50, large jars are $40-$60.
I accept Venmo and PayPal only.
