If you are interested in auditioning for the SRU Flute Studio, please see the requirements listed below. Audition Procedures
Anyone desiring to be a flute major or minor at Slippery Rock University must be accepted by the music department audition committee. Music applicants must apply to and be accepted by the University before auditioning for acceptance into the Department of Music (i.e., a student must be admitted to the University first before he or she can be accepted into the Music program). Audition dates are scheduled in both fall and spring semesters, and may be arranged on one of these dates by filling out and submitting the online audition form. The Audition Process

We are very happy to share that the labor of our third album โ€œAnthems of Dialogueโ€ has been recognized as a National Finalist in The American Prize in the Professional Division of Chamber Music Performance ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐ŸŽถ

We truly believe in the power and intention behind these commissions and are grateful for every composer, collaborator, mentor, friend, and listener who have supported this project.

This fall, Taylor will begin a new chapter at Duquesne University, pursuing her Masterโ€™s in Flute Performance as a Teaching Assistant. And thatโ€™s not allโ€ฆ sheโ€™ll also be stepping into a new role as Choir Director at Canon-McMillan High School!

Cassandra Eisenreich, an SRU associate professor of music, has released an album titled โ€œAnthems of Dialogueโ€ with her contemporary flute ensemble BETA Quartet.

The album showcases the power of collaboration and creative achievement, marking a major milestone in the ensembleโ€™s artistic journey as it celebrates a decade of making music together.
