He is known for his contributions to the jazz/blues and R&B/Southern Soul scenes throughout the state. He attended Southern University and joined the prestigious professional music fraternity Phi Mu Alpha. He marched in the Southern University Marching Band and played Jazz professionally with the late great Dr. Isaac Greggs. After completing his studies, he began to write and compose many hit sing

les that received national acclaim. “A Time for Love”, “Cutie Pie” and “Stop Breaking My Heart” were just a few compositions that received rave reviews among radio and professional music distributors around the world. He continues to write and produce other artist through his and Dubble Gs music company, Music Vision Producers. Volton was a third member of the R&B recording group ‘O Flava Psi’, produced by Southern Soul Singer TK Soul and Platinum producer Stick Burrell. Volton wrote the lyrics to the soundtrack for the award -winning documentary “Beyond Galilee” recorded at Amore studios. He is currently apart of the JBE Dynasty under the direction of the award -winning Blues singer Jeter Jones and producer SlackTraxx.
