This kit romanticizes every flight.

And when I say you can paint everywhere and anywhere, I truly mean it!

When the cabin doors close and I have several hours just for myself, I paint. It calms the nerves and my brain activates a creative mode. I love reading books too but that activates a more passive mode, so I love being able to make while I fly!

Here are my flight essentials:
1. Sunglasses (especially for red-eyes)
2. Hand sanitizer
3. Tissue (perfect for sniffles and to collect water from the brush for watercolor control)
4. Earbuds
5. Lip balm
6. Mini painting kit

Painting kit:
1. Small sketchbook - Recommend: Moleskine Art Collection Watercolor Album
2. Paint palette - Recommend: Slim paint palette, I like to make my own. I pour into pans that fit into a business card case.
3. Black brush marker, large tip water brush, small tip water brush
4. Optional for a loaded kit show in Option A: Add a mechanical pencil, pen, and mini water mister

A common question I get as a midlife “emerging artist” coming from a 20 year corporate career is, “how did you make the pivot?”

And I always say the same thing. You just do!

👉🏽Believe in yourself enough to make the decision.
👉🏽Clear the path to commit to the decision.
👉🏽And then, you just do the work.

✨Because letting life pass by is simply not an option.

Do the thing that feels hard but that you’ve always wanted to do! (Even when it feels silly to be an “old emerging artist”.) Make 12 year old you proud!
