Blue Gate Musicals

Blue Gate Musicals Blue Gate Musicals(BGM)was formed in 2010 to create original, meaningful, and entertaining musicals.

Blue Gate Musicals, LLC (BGM) was formed in 2010 to create original, meaningful, and entertaining musicals. Founding Partner Mel Riegsecker and President and Dove-Award winning producer Dan Posthuma oversee the operations of BGM, which includes three hugely successful Broadway-style musicals, from Amish Country: The Confession, Half-Stitched, and Josiah for President. Blue Gate Musicals is proud

to have three partners presenting these musicals. Shipshewana IN led the way in 2010, followed by Bird-In-Hand, PA and Sugarcreek, OH in 2012. The Confession, BGM’s first musical based on Beverly Lewis’s Confession Trilogy has sold well over 150,000 tickets since its premiere. Due to the overwhelming popularity of this musical, BGM opened Half-Stitched, based on the novel The Half-Stitched Amish Quilting Club by Wanda Brunstetter. Half-Stitched launched a second successful run in the three venues in 2014 with almost 1,000 performances to date. That year also saw the world premiere of Josiah for President, based on a novel by Martha Bolton, which resulted in a long running series of sold-out shows in all three theatres. With no signs of slowing down, BGM premiered their new Christmas musical, Our Christmas Dinner, last holiday season to rave reviews, and opened its next full-length musical, The Home Game, in Shipshewana, IN in the Spring of this year. In addition to their growing repertoire of musicals, BGM recently launched The Blue Gate Comedy Series, with their first one-act comedy, Mennonite Girls Can Cook, which opens Fall 2016 in Shipshewana and Sugarcreek.

Jordan is excited to make his Blue Gate debut and thrilled to be close to home. Originally hailing from Southwest Michigan, he currently lives in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where he moved to attend the Sight and Sound Conservatory, from which he graduated in 2024. Recently, he performed in a concert production of Carousel with the Hershey Symphony Orchestra after “sailing aboard” Titanic: the Musical. Last year, he performed at the Strasburg Railroad in all sorts of shows on and off the real moving trains. More recent credits include A Tale of Two Cities, John Brooke in Little Women, The Beast in Beauty and the Beast, and Malcolm in Shakespeare’s Macbeth. When not on stage, he enjoys spending time with friends, overanalyzing theatre, and trying to find time to write. Psalm 92:1-2
