Itās been a long while since this little artwork came and went, and every time I look back on it, I love it all over again.
Featuring my one and only bay roan mare soon after she was born. Hereās a little snippet into her early beginnings!
The evening before she was born, I knew mama would have foaled by morning. I woke up impromptu in the middle of the night and decided to check on Lena to discover that baby was coming right then. We got out just in time to see her being born at 3:47am. Oakley was born under a canopy of Oak trees, en caul (still completely in her amniotic sack), determined to get up quickly.
Her name came naturally, and we have since watched her mature into a beautiful mare.
She was one of her sireās first foal crops, and was the only roan out of them all.
