$5,000 FOR EVERY AMERICAN… BUT WHAT ABOUT THE COST OF LIVING? 🐉🔥

Inflation is still breathing fire, everyday expenses keep piling up, and Americans are watching political promises fly around like confetti.

One side promises big money. The other is trying to put out the fire. Meanwhile, ordinary people are just trying to afford groceries, gas, and a little peace of mind. 😅

You see “$2,000/month” and think,
“Okay… expensive, but maybe I can make it work.”

Then you start asking questions.

Utilities? Not included.
Parking? Extra.
Pet? Monthly pet rent.
Application fee? Of course.
Move-in costs? First month, security deposit, and somehow another fee you’ve never heard of. 😭

And the apartment is still somehow small enough that you can stand in the kitchen and touch the living room wall.

At this point, the advertised rent feels less like the actual price and more like the starting bid.

I’m not asking for granite countertops, a rooftop pool, or a luxury gym.

I just want a safe, decent place to live without needing a second job to afford it. 😂

Anybody else look at rental listings lately and immediately close the app?

Do you remember when this little yellow game could bring the whole room to life?

Connect Four was simple.
Just red and black checkers, a plastic board, and two people trying so hard not to let the other one win.

But somehow, it always turned into more than a game.

There would be one child leaning over the table, thinking they had a secret strategy.
One sibling saying, “You can’t put it there!”
One parent pretending to go easy… but still trying to win.
And then that wonderful sound at the end, when someone pulled the bottom lever and all the checkers came crashing down.

That sound alone could bring back an entire childhood.

Back then, family nights didn’t need much.
A kitchen table.
A bowl of popcorn.
A few board games stacked in the closet.
Maybe the TV humming softly in the background.

No phones in every hand.
No scrolling through separate little worlds.
Just faces across the table, laughing, teasing, thinking, waiting for the next move.

It’s funny how the simplest games became the memories we carry the longest.

We didn’t know it then, but those ordinary evenings were the good old days.
The little voices, the small arguments, the proud smile after winning, the laughter after losing…

That was family.
