Allie and I went to the Celebration of Fine Art in Scottsdale today and I was excited to meet Josh from Mad Charcoal! I've seen his videos on YouTube and it's pretty amazing how he lays down charcoal! Check him out! AND he's got his own line of charcoal products now!!! He let me try them out and they are very fine materials ..... will be adding them to my collection soon!

I was pretty excited to see Josh from Mad Charcoal at The Celebration of Fine Art in Scottsdale today! Being a charcoal artist myself I have had major respect for him since seeing his first YouTube video!!! Thanks for chatting today Josh, I had a great time!

Dia de los mu***os! I've enjoyed getting to know about this holiday while living in Arizona. The simple answer is not to forget your relatives.
The Catrina makeup is a reminder of the impermanance of life, encouraging us to appreciate the present and cherish our time with loved ones. The marigolds with their strong scent guide the spirits, believed to these spirits, to their altars.

ORGANIC WEAVING - this started from a piece off of the palm trees that already resembled a natural weaving. I attached it to a piece of cholla wood and began weaving split pods from the moringa tree, emulated feathers, long thing rooster feathers and some fuzzy yarn. I added some red seeds from the Texas mesquite tree and an assortment of pheasant feathers.
