A quick interpretation this morning but that's ok. Enjoy π... .... ....
Dagaz (daw-gawz)
23rd or 24th rune placed in the thrid Aett
Meaning: day
Ok so because the d rune was absorbed by the t rune in Old Norse the only existing poem is for the Old English d sound and it's pretty Christianized but there is a good message about the rune here:
"Day, the glorious light of the Creator, is sent by the Lord; it is beloved of men, a source of hope and happiness to rich and poor, and of service to all."
-Old English rune poem
I've written about Dagaz once before. I like to look at this runes shape and name as an inspiration but let's also look at the poem today.
The break of day is one of the most beautiful natural things we can witness on this planet next to the sunset. There's something inspiring about watching the sun rise. It fills us with a sense of purpose and helps us look forward to what the day may bring us.
I think that's the main point of this poem. Dagaz is that energy that lifts us and in a way sets in motion our willingness to move forward into whatever life has in store for us.
Last time I drew this rune I talked about the balance of light and dark. They can't exist without each other. There can be no day without the night. The shape of this rune is cyclical like that, much like the infinity symbol. It comes back around on itself with a center point.
I feel like the message Dagaz is giving us this week is to be center in the cycle of life. Things come and go, people, the seasons, jobs... If we can be a present observer for the ebb and flow of life we can walk our path a little easier. Think a little deeper, make choices from a wider understanding, and enjoy the small things a little more.

Please stay kind in the comments. We all have our own interpretations and impressions and I'd love for us to have open discussion with that in mind.
