Great news for Nebraska Creative Districts!

LB778 passed Final Reading today and is on its way to the Governor’s desk.

LB778 prioritizes funding from the Civic and Community Center Financing Fund (CCCFF) for projects in Nebraska’s Creative Districts; projects that bring jobs, visitors, and economic growth to communities across the state.

Thank you, Senator George Dungan, for sponsoring the bill and thank you everyone who spoke out in support of LB778 and the Creative Districts of Nebraska.

They came home for the Holidays!

November 29th, head down to Olde Glory between 8-10 am for a Holly Jolly Folly Waffle feed and listen to the two brightest minds on Folly academia, Scotch McFolly and Dr. Percival Von Finch, debate one another! Then grab an entrance form from the back, and adventure around the Winter Wonderland of Downtown Seward for 6 Folly birds hiding in local shops. Once you find all 6, return your form to any participating retailer, and be entered for a chance to win a prize! 2 prizes will be drawn, one on November 29th, and another on December 24th!

Friday was a fantastic day to celebrate Creative Districts across the state at their annual assembly hosted by Norfolk’s River Point District, and the Nebraska Arts Council. Members of our district, Seward Arts Council, Seward County Visitor Bureau and Seward County Chamber & Development Partnership were in attendance networking with other districts, hearing from Visit Nebraska, Mid-America Arts Alliance, Nebraskans For The Arts and more! So many success stories and support of the arts! Thank you to everyone who participated!
