After two days of being “down with the sickness” it was nice to get back to the drawing board. Not quite finished, but things are coming along nicely.
Things I dislike:
The paper that I chose to use this time is more geared for general sketching and graphite. Using the alcohol markers on it has been quite the challenge, especially given the large surface area. Next time, I would say that opting for a smaller paper, and one that allows more play/movement of the colors without soaking them up so fast, would be very helpful. Overall, this is proving to be a great learning experience.
Things I like:
It is easy to layer and texture the marker strokes even if there is some sacrifice being made in regard to blending. The large surface area makes the character feel more ‘alive’. 🤗
