More about her… 🖤💗✨
The symbolism behind this section of “I’m Almost Me Again” is still hard to share about because it feels very personal. Yet, I think many people have experienced something similar. This section is called Tears, and she is the” Fringe Mom”- a representation of my mom transitioning from her physical self into something new and unknown, on a journey that she must make alone. I remember sensing this when I was with her. This special character is also a representation of my own grief, my sadness, my fear housed in an unfamiliar form… her and I both transformed on the other side.
If you’re curious about the sound during this section, it was originally a recording of myself crying in the bathtub after my mom passed. Then with music magic the crying was reversed, slowed down and layered with synths by our amazingly talented friend and collaborator 💘🎶
