✨Cava ✨is a chow chow and the sister to Brix, who I painted at the very end of last year!

Holy cow that fur was tricky to get right! There are probably 15 layers of paint on her forehead 😂

Cava’s parents asked me to match her background to the same muted greys and blues I used for Brix back in 2025, which is quite a bit different from my usual style but I still love how it turned out

both portraits are 9x12 on hot press watercolor paper, which is my absolute favorite. the surface is so smooth and lets the colors and brushstrokes really pop. cold press has that texture that kind of pokes through everything and I just find it distracting, hot press just gets out of the way and lets the painting breathe

also a process video is coming for this one! no audio though because I was watching true crime the entire time I painted her 😂

Babe wake up new cat art just dropped

Okay but actually- this is Jazzie, and the 2nd painting of my Jamie and Jazzie cat commissions 🥹 I love how the paintings go together but aren’t a perfect match either

✨Jamie✨ is a kitty I just painted on a 7x10 piece of hotpress watercolor paper. Apparently I didn’t take any process photos, but I do have some video clips, so I’ll be posting that later 😊

This was also an entirely new pose and background color for me to paint! What do you think?

This husky mix named Louie was commissioned as a wedding gift! 🥹 I painted him on a piece of 8 x 10 hot press arches watercolor paper, and there is even going to be a custom frame made with local wood from the family land of the person who commissioned it! I can’t wait to see the painting and the frame together💙

i’m trying to pull away from using so much green in the background, so I really branched out here and did blue 😂
