You know this week has been something... something in the water?! But I want to share this for anyone it might benefit: I believe that sometimes the challenges are placed before us to amplify the wins, the heavy energy to brighten the gratitude for the abundance of kindness and generosity. I trust that even when the chips look like they're down or not all goes as planned, that everything is working out. If you do the work, if you stay your course, if you honor your heart and your journey, one step at a time, life has a way of bringing bounty. ❀️ Sometimes, like today, I feel overcome by the overflowing of my cup. Sometimes I wish I could share my writing with my grandpa (Bunicul Carol). He always encouraged me to write. I remember sitting by his desk with him after a visit back to Moldova, grandpa asking me, What did you observe? What did it smell like? Taste like? What did you see? It felt so meaningful years later to realize that the very day I felt I was finished with my book When 1+1=1, it happened to be two years to the day of my grandpa's passing. He wanted so much to be remembered -- for those who have passed live on as long as we remember them. If you're inclined to look him up, Constantin Condrea. ❀ Te iubesc şi te pominesc, Bunicul Carol.

* Make Room for Yourself *
In our Tango Intensive last night, we worked on a move where the lead invites the follow to come into their space. The tendency for many of us is to be wary of doing something wrong, of being too pushy or needy. Dare we not get into someone's space. We make ourselves small, skirt around the edges. Yet, receiving the invitation and responding in a way that asks for the space you need makes room to be your whole self in your half of the embrace. It creates the potential to both feel closer, more connected. By asking for what you need as you accept the invitation, you can inspire your partner and give them the opportunity to meet you there. In the space of a simple step, there is the potential to create a whole rich and juicy dialogue. πŸ’™

* Be in the Way... *
In our Tango Intensive Class last night, a student said he was trying (perhaps even subconsciously, as a coping mechanism) to get out of the way of his partner. Yes, so many people are... Yet we traveled all this way to do exactly that: to get in each other's space, to get in each other's way, to interact with one another. You are part of the dance and your partner accepted a chance to get entangled and intertwined in each other's existence, albeit for a just a fleeting moment. Be in the way. Be in your space. You have not only permission, but it is what this dance entails. Your presence. πŸ’™
