A Labrador carved from walnut log that Butch Elrod gave me 2 years ago. It’s sitting on a piece of hickory. There are cracks on it but I like it gives character to this piece and I like the saturation of the color too.

I carved this out of branch with knots. So I carved all the knots with monkeys faces. Finished with shellac. There are 32 monkeys faces in this stick and took me almost a month to finish.

Always am fascinated with monkeys. This is a pencil holder howler monkey I carved from a 4x4 construction cedar from Home Depot. I attached it to a willow driftwood found on the local river. I finished it with Jacobean wood stain.

Took my wife to Chamna Natural Preserve and tried out my new walking stick. It’s just a simple basswood condor sitting on top of a piece of driftwood that was finished natural topped with polyurethane.
