- PG-800 controller
- Super Synth Projects OLED display
- Vecoven OS upgrade

It was a bit nerve wracking having to free-hand drill 50+ holes with less than a 1/16” tolerance, but they all managed to line up. Phew

The Oberheim OB-Xa might just be my favorite sounding synth ever made. The 4-pole filter sounds absolutely massive, even when compared to other Oberheim from this era. This one’s gotten a pretty thorough overhaul, including:
- Rebuilt PSU
- Recapped voice cards and upgraded multiturn trim pots
- New key bushings
- Cleaned key contacts
- Cleaned all control pots
- New memory battery
- Full factory tune

Just finished modding this Multivox MX-450. It’s essentially more affordable version of the Moog Ta**us and makes some pretty amazing bass.

Work done:
- Designed/installed a separate sub octave output with switchable 1- or 2-octave drops and gate/envelope/drone VCA settings
- Added a pot to control VCA and VCF envelope attack times
- Added a CV input for VCF cutoff
-Installed IEC power socket

Just finished restoring this EML Electrocomp-101. A beautifully weird duophonic synth with 4 oscillators, two envelopes, and an extensive patch bay that allows for tons of modulated tones.

It’s working a lot better after rebuilding the PSU, cleaning pots, replacing some shorted caps, and giving it a tune.

The Korg Trident Mkii. So many sounds in one box. An 8-voice synth that feeds brass and string sections, which can all be routed through a flanger, with tons of tone and keying options along the way.

Just finished bringing it back to its former glory:
- Fixed broken/corroded traces from a previous battery leak
- Replaced all electrolytic caps
- Fixed the envelope generator on two voices
- Cleaned all pots
- Fixed the frequency control in the flanger
- New memory battery
- Full factory tune

The Roland VP-330: prince of robots. The vocoder is amazing on its own, but the string an voice sections are incredibly lush, even more so now that the ensemble and filter sections are working properly and it’s all tuned up!

The legend. It’s always such a treat to get to work on an 808. They’ve been sampled so many times, but the tone and workflow of the real deal is pretty tough to emulate.

This one got new start/stop and tap switches, a non-corroded battery pack, replacement FETs for the muting/reset circuit, a deep clean and a factory tune.

#808

-New internal battery

Had a couple Crumars come across the bench recently. The Performer had an issue on the keying and octave divider circuits that was causing multiple notes to sound, and the Bit-01 had a nasty crackle. Both were fixed by reflowing a whole bunch of solder joints.

Got a real cool one: the Maxi-Kong 800dv. A monophonic/duophonic synth that has all sorts of unique noises and strange ways to make them.

Gave it a deep clean and fixed a constantly rising oscillator.
