What apocalypse prep looks like at a community clay studio…200lbs of dry glaze 😆. If everything goes south and we don’t have electricity, meet us at the studio and we’ll walk to the beach together and do some pit firings with reclaimed clay. Our friends the seagulls will definitely be there. Who’s in?!?

It’s your lucky day! We just opened our Tuesday May/June 8-week classes to ALL LEVELS.

Signups are LIVE for the May/June 8-week session at Monterey Clay Studio! Come try your hand at making your own pottery from start to finish.

The world is crazy right now - connection and care is the antidote! Clay class is a perfect place to land.

Session Details:
Starts the week of 5/4/26, ends the week of 6/22/26
Attendance on the first day of class is required for students new to the studio.

Classes are available in handbuilding and wheel throwing for students at all levels. Our classes focus on teaching beginners how to make pottery while coaching returning students along the way. Price is $400 for eight classes, payment plan available. For ages 18+.

Friday nights from 5:30-7:30pm.

Dates: 3/27, 4/17, 5/15, 5/29. Registration required.

Price: $75/person

Ages 18+. All levels welcome. No pieces are kept or fired so there’s no pressure to “be good” at it! Come have some fun 🤗.
