This is your reminder to come see J & The Causeways this Friday at 8:00PM and Slim Jim Phantom + John Jorgenson on Saturday at 7:30PM. Both will be playing Live at The Bay Theatre this weekend!

On Friday, see J & The Causeways. The powerhouse soul-rock band bringing big vocals, gritty horns, and unstoppable energy to every stage they hit. Fronted by the electrifying Jordan Anderson, this Louisiana-based group delivers a fusion of Southern soul, funk, and rock that gets hearts pumping and feet moving. If you’re looking for raw emotion, tight musicianship, and a whole lot of soul, J and The Causeways are the real deal.

And on Saturday, two legends: Slim Jim Phantom and John Jorgenson will be performing the Ultimate Rockabilly show!

Slim Jim Phantom, the legendary drummer for the Stray Cats, spearheaded the neo-rockabilly movement of the early 80s. With a love for 50’s Rock and Roll, the Stray Cats took inspiration from that bygone era. They mixed their youthful energy and aggression to produce the updated hard-edged rockabilly sound that saw them conquer London, Europe and the U.S. They gained fans such as Keith Richards, Mick Jagger, and Robert Plant along the way.

John Jorgenson, known for his blistering guitar licks, earned a reputation as a world-class musician, as evidenced by his collaborations with Earl Scruggs, Bonnie Raitt, Elton John, Bob Dylan and many others. Jorgenson first came to national attention in the mid ‘80s as co-founder of the successful country-rock act, The Desert Rose Band. An eclectic array of artists such as Bonnie Raitt and Bob Seger were drawn to add Jorgenson’s artistry to their own recordings.

Kazuki Omori’s ‘Godzilla vs. Biollante’ (1989) 🦖🇯🇵🌹

After Godzilla’s previous attack in 1984, a miniature arms race ensues to collect his cells. Five years later in 1989, the Japanese government, concerned over Godzilla’s possible return, use the cells to create a new bioweapon, A.N.E.B (Anti-Nuclear Energy Bacteria). They seek the aid of geneticist Genshiro Shiragami, whose experiments result in a new mutation. Praised for its imaginative concept, dark tone, and impressive practical effects, ‘Godzilla vs. Biollante’ is considered one of the most unique and thematically rich Godzilla films, blending action with tragic science fiction.

With the purchase of any ticket, customers will be eligible to win a special raffle prize. For our screening we will be raffling off one stunning 4K UHD & Blu-Ray combo-pack release of ‘Godzilla vs. Biollante’ from The Criterion Collection, as well as an S.H.Monsterarts figure of Godzilla 1989.
