Out Early, 36x48, oil on linen panel. For my solo exhibition 'First Light, Last Glow' at Wells Gallery, Kiawah. This is a good example of not being too tied to your reference material, I added more grass across the front of the S curve for better balance compositionally, then added the egret on the left and the moon on the upper right help keep your eye in the painting as the creeks were divergent in their direction.
