I have a few of these canvas zipper pouches that I’ll be painting this Summer. Of course a whale shark was first, but what should I hand paint on the next one? Wildflowers? A Luna Moth? Mushrooms? A sea turtle or manatee? So many ideas…🤔

I finished up this beauty this past week. 🐚✨
This is another whelk shell from my childhood spent on the East coastline. My mom and I would go out at low tide after a big storm had passed, and would find these beautiful empty shells partially and sometimes fully buried in the sand. Of course I still hold onto several of them because they’re sentimental and full of memories for me, but every now and then I’ll pick one out and paint it. It’s a joy I just can’t keep to myself.
