Ensuring that the important 100+yr old historical, cultural maritime Paddle Wheel and Steam Stack artifacts of the Charles Van Damme Ferry remain in the public park of Waldo point, Gate Six Road, Sausalito, CA that is being developed around it. Since 2006 we have been archiving historical artifacts, photos, artwork, the oral history, we created a documentary film, a traveling exhibit, numerous eve
nts and fund raisers - inspired new songs to be written and a sense of renewed pride to Marin County waterfront. We have yet to get permission to stay in the park or agreement for a new place to go. Without either of these - the artifacts are in serious danger of being destroyed by May 2013- a serious loss to Marin County, maritime history and generations to come. Under the umbrella of The Richardson's Bay Maritime Association (RBMA) non profit we have 501(c)3 non profit status. We are welcoming support of any kind.
