Schroon. Lake. Street. Dance. What an incredible way to end the Grit-N-Wh***ey run!! EPIC does not even begin to describe how much fun we had. Y’all brought the heat that’s for sure!! Thank you EVERYONE that packed the street and danced the night away with us!! It was an exciting, rockin’, and emotional night for sure. To our former bandmates, Rol, Claudia, Mike, and Ron, thank you for starting us on this journey. To our late co-founder Terry, we miss you, but damn we sure felt your presence on that stage last last night! This was one for the ages and one hell of a way to go out! Thank you so much to the Schroon Lake Chamber of Commerce for putting on this awesome event and for having us.

It’s hard to believe, but on Saturday 9/5/26, Grit-N-Wh***ey will be playing its final show. After 18 years, loss and heartbreak, followed by a resurrection with Shawna Dawn succeeding her mom Terry to take over on vocals, and evolving into a rocking country band, the time has come to call it a day and ride off into the sunset. If you can make it up to Schroon Lake, we’d love to see you one last time. To all of our fans, the venues that hired us, friends and family that supported us over the years, a sincere and heartfelt thank you. We love you all. And from all of us in the band to our founder and leader Dave Pechette, it’s has been an honor following you and sharing the stage. It’s been a hell of ride. - Art, Shawna, Dave, Matt, & Chris

Friends, family, fans…after 17 plus years, we have come to the difficult decision to call it a day. We have enjoyed many years of wonderful gigs, made so many friends and have loved bringing you our take on modern country. From the earliest days with Dave, Terry, Rol, Claudia, Mike and Ron, to our final line up of Dave, Shawna, Art, Matt and Chris, we have strived to bring you a high energy, rockin’ country show. We are so grateful to all the venues that have booked us, and the friends we’ve made in the local music community, but most importantly we are grateful for you, our fans, friends and family that have supported us over the years. Additionally, Shawna would like to express her gratitude to Dave, Matt, Mike, Ron and Claudia for being so welcoming to her when she was faced with the impossible task of succeeding her Mom Terry, after her passing. And of course to Terry… Shawna says a huge thank you for Terry’s amazing inspiration, supportive guidance and everlasting love. While this is the end of the GNW chapter, we are also happy to say that Dave, Art, and Shawna will be continuing their musical journey as the Art~n~Shawna Band. So, please consider going over to the Art-n-Shawna page and follow that page. Thank you all for 17 years of incredible memories. We do have a handful of private gigs scheduled for 2026, and obviously will be performing all of those scheduled dates. We love you all. Thank you for all of the memories.
- Dave, Shawna, Art, Chris, Matt
