Lots of shells this weekend had “someone home”. So we try to toss them back out into the sea as far as we can so no one takes them and they die.

Today we planned on checking back for more sea treasures but the waters are polluted with runoff from the flooding. So it’s shell cleaning and put away day. I had no idea we’ve found so many tulips over the last few weeks.

The sunrise over the Atlantic was something special! Never experienced the sun coming out of the ocean, Always been sunsets. Fun trip to Miami Beach for our wedding anniversary.

This scallop has the same colors as the sunrise.

After a dip in the acid even some shells that were white turned up with some color. The acid eats away at some of the calcification that occurs to the shells. Some were in the ground for a long time and stayed black and some were too sun bleached to have their colors pop. Pretty cool stuff messing around with a new cleaning method.

Here in Florida, It's always summer. Which means beach days are all year round (without having to bundle up in layers) Summer is my favorite season by far, so it is only fitting we moved to year round sunshine. How about you? What season are you in? What is your favorite?
