This morning my husband asked me, "What are your plans for today?"
"I'm going to make the kids chicken parmesan for lunch."
He smiled paused and said, "OK."
I took a writing class this Summer but it just stressed me out, my makeshift office is in the middle of our living room, which is adjacent to the kitchen.
I find I'm a calmer mom when I'm just not trying to be creative. Today at my big outing, the local bookstore with my daughter, an older woman said to me, "Where is Matilda? That's the name of my walker. I broke my hip and have been home since February and I think I'm going crazy. I called my daughter up and said, come get me dressed and get me out of here."
That's the vibe and I get it.
I have been fortunate enough to meet Deva of MyLifeSuckers by Deva Dalporto over the years and I'm a big fan of hers. I enjoyed what her post and wanted to share.
Oops, I hear a truck, the other big excitement of the day, seeing what packages arrive, have to run.
I can’t work. Every time I turn my attention to my career these days, I get interrupted. My son can’t find his social studies printout or the zoom link for Spanish class won’t work or the internet is down or someone needs a snack. The interruptions are endless. For the past 15 years I’ve had...
