Alaine Habuert, Founding director of the ABT Gillespie School at Segerstrom Center for the Arts, has been associated with American Ballet Theatre since 1965 as a dancer, Ballet Mistress, director of Summer Intensives, advisor for the ABT National Training Curriculum, adjudicator, and coach. She received her pre professional training at the School of American Ballet with George Balanchine. With ABT she toured the world and danced the ABT repertory, working directly with numerous choreographers, including Antony Tudor, Jerome Robbins, and Agnes de Mille. For 10 years, Ms. Haubert was a principal artist with the Joffrey Ballet, working closely with Leonide Massine, Kurt Joss, Alvin Ailey , Gerald Arpino, and Robert Joffrey. Alaine Haubert brings to her classes a wealth of knowledge, extensive professional and coaching experience at the highest level, and a keen eye to technical detail.
The Zena Rommett Floor Barre is a gentle, highly effective therapeutic method of body work to correct, strengthen, and align the body without the pressure of gravity. It is excellent for dancers and athletes as well as the injured.
