[EVENT TIME CHANGED!] Welcome to Clementine Creatives' new event series: Craft & Chat! This series was created to facilitate a safe space for people of all knowledge levels to come together and discuss issues in the art community and larger society. To make things fun, we'll all be making some sort of craft with things we have at home. This can range from doodling to knitting, painting, or even macaroni crafts.
For our second installment, we'll be discussing International Worker's Day a.k.a. May Day! A strike is more than what happens when you clean up the set on closing night. Come learn some labor history, get involved in theory discussion, and apply these concepts to theater!

We are still here y’all! We have been hustling to figure out how to transfer our Spring schedule of events to a digital and remote format and have made progress! Aside from adjusting the creative element of our organization we are also going to start introducing more educational and informative programs! We’ve always had the long-term goal to make Clementine a place where people can learn, grow, and create! Hopefully this is a small step in that direction 🌟 Stay tuned for updates coming VERY soon! Hello!! We are having auditions for a new one-act play by one of our members titled Open Doors. This one-act will be part of our spring variety show. Open to all UCSB students and the greater IV community.

Synopsis: Open Doors follows in*******al couple, Nora and Colin, as they grapple with the struggles of their increasingly toxic relationship.

Cast:
Colin: Lead
Gender: Male
Ethnicity: White
Age Range: 18-23
Role Description: Colin seems to radiate the confidence of an intoxicated frat boy in every interaction, but privately he has many insecurities that he’s not ready to confront.

Nora: Lead
Gender: Female
Ethnicity: Asian
Age Range: 18-23
Role Description: Though she may initially appear like an antisocial introvert, Nora knows what she wants and she’s tired of being pigeonholed to fit the stereotype of a meek Asian girl.

We don’t take nearly enough pictures, but 2019 was the year we turned 1! As we welcome new people into our space, we discover more and more where we want to stand as an organization at UCSB. We hope to not only continue creating a safer space for radical performance art, but to also grow into a more developed activist organization. Happy new year, keep posted for our 2020 updates! 🤩🥳

The demonstration is happening till 3pm!!

TW: sexual assault.
Due to the influx of sexual assault reports and lack of action and accountability from the university and university-affiliated organizations, we are collaborating with other campus orgs to present a list of demands to make UCSB safer. Come out and support this Thursday (10/31) any time between 10am-3pm at The Arbor!
