through the painting experience giving one-on-one instruction while affording you the freedom to create. The studio offers oodles of fabulous choices for your masterpiece, and offers fabulous wines from the Santa Barbara region, allowing you to “sip and stroke in style.”

Until I moved away from Santa Barbara, I never took the time to really appreciate all it had to offer. I’ve been gone for 25 years and I waited patiently for the right time to move back. It took a lot of work and energy to get back, but it was all worth it. The small-town feel, the friendly people, the weather, the beaches, the sunsets and the restaurants. I love to drive on State Street and see what is going on. I go out of my way to take the beach route so I can smell the ocean and feel like a teenager again. The art scene, the restaurants…. mmmmm. Did I forget to mention the fabulous wine? With a marketing background, I knew I wanted to open a business that was fun, lively and exciting. I knew I hit the mark when I made the decision to open The Painted Cabernet. You see, I am famous for drawing a stick-figure of a turkey. That is it. But amazingly I can paint beautiful art pieces with the help and instruction of our art instructors. I knew if I could do it, you can too! And please, feel free to ask me to draw you my famous turkey!
