Behind the build. 🌿
For the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden’s centennial, we had the honor of creating something truly rooted in place — a botanical photo moment handcrafted from materials gathered from the garden itself. California natives, wild foliage, textures the garden has been stewarding for 100 years.

Our team worked side by side to bring it to life — arranging, layering, and coaxing every element into something that felt like it had always belonged there. The kind of work that takes many hands, a shared eye, and a deep love for the living world.

100 years of wild beauty. We were so grateful to be part of the celebration.

Meet Alfredo -

Behind every wall we hang and every frame we build, there's a steady pair of hands making it happen. Alfredo has been part of the Lush Elements crew for 5 years, and we honestly couldn't do what we do without him.

From cutting wood and building frames to installing trays and tackling whatever a job site throws our way — Alfredo brings skill, care, and calm to every project. He's the kind of person who shows up ready, works hard, and takes pride in the details.

We're so grateful to have him on the team. 💚

No water. No light. No maintenance — ever. Our Lush Walls are crafted from sustainably sourced preserved mosses and botanicals that hold their color and texture for years. Living art that asks nothing of you. 🌿

Where would you put a Lush Wall?

|EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT| We’re thrilled to welcome Serena to the Lush Elements family. She brings a calm, thoughtful energy to every project she touches — the kind of presence that makes a job site feel more like a garden.
You’ll see her out on installs, tending our living walls, and collaborating with clients to fine-tune the details that make a space feel truly alive. If you spot her in the wild, say hi — she’s delighted to talk about the benefits of plants in your environment.
She believes deeply in the healing properties of plants. As the owner of Thyme Plus+ and Eleven Eleven Botanic, she offers the world toxin-free, plant-based cleaning and beauty products.
Welcome aboard, Serena. The team is better for having you.

BEFORE | AFTER
An empty wall is a missed opportunity. A Lush Living Wall transforms it into a living, breathing focal point. Every installation is one-of-a-kind — built around your space, your style, your goals.

| TESTIMONIAL | “One of the best decisions that I made when I was designing the Honey HQ in Downtown Los Angeles and the Netflix HQ in Hollywood was to bring in Lush Elements. Terra made sure she patiently listened to our design visions before advising us on what works best for the different spaces to make sure that the final output not only looked great but the plants remained healthy. Definitely considering Lush Elements again for any future builds!”

Lush Elements is celebrating 12 years in 2026! Have you wondered where it all started?

Terra Basche, Founder and Lead Designer, is an artist who loves to get her hands dirty. Born and raised on the Hawaiian Islands and growing a family in Santa Barbara has inspired her to mimic nature’s beauty. With an eye for design, Terra is able to take a challenge and make it a reality for anyone who wishes to bring nature’s beauty to life within a space. Working with a variety of natural materials and systems allows Terra to design in a myriad of spaces indoors and outdoors, vertically and floor bound. Terra has built an impressive network of artisans and growers who bring stunningly unique elements to each custom project.
