Edmund never meant to write it.The words came unbidden—scratched into parchment by a hand that no longer felt like his own. At first, they were harmless. Fragments. Thoughts. Echoes of something just beyond memory. But the quill does not write without purpose. With each line, the story deepens. The....

I’ve been getting pictures sent to me from all of you guys who bought Nero and Ophelia. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

A couple of you have already read it and told me how you felt about it. Nero and Ophelia are very special to me. I created these characters and the story for a stage play/ opera. And the life they have taken so far has been amazing.

There is not enough time in the day for me to accomplish all that I need to accomplish. I meant to have this FB page up with all my book information and so much more. But life always wants to do its own thing. I’ll try to find some time to do all the necessary things for this page. Also, reach out to me if you’re FB Ad savvy or would like to help be a part of this adventure.

Let me tell y’all about The Black Quill’s Lament.

Edmond Hale has always believed stories belong to the people who write them.

Then he finds the quill.

At first, it seems like a curiosity—an old writing instrument that moves across the page with unsettling ease, producing words Edmond does not remember composing. But the deeper he studies it, the more impossible the truth becomes: the quill is not simply writing stories.

It is writing events.

Strangers begin speaking lines Edmond has only seen on the page. Conversations unfold exactly as the quill recorded them hours earlier. Entire scenes appear in ink before they happen, as if the world itself is quietly following a script Edmond never agreed to perform.

The more he reads, the more the writing changes.

The quill seems to understand him—his fears, his memories, even the childhood moment that taught him something dangerous about being watched. And as the pages continue to fill, Edmond begins to suspect the quill is not merely predicting the future.

It is shaping the audience.

Reality begins to behave like a stage. People move as though guided by invisible direction. And somewhere within the growing manuscript, the quill is building toward a conclusion Edmond cannot yet see.

Because the most unsettling possibility is no longer that the quill is writing the story.

It’s that the story might already be watching him back.

This book started as one idea, but I believe the Quill wanted to tell a very different story. Where and when can you find this story? Well, funny you asked…y’all should go and check out Amazon. Look for me, Remi A. Rodriguez Brignoni. You’ll find what you seek.

Howdy friends and family. Some of y’all melted my heart, and immediately bought the hardcover copy of Nero and Ophelia: A Tragedy of Hesitation. I can’t begin to express my gratitude. However, I got to lay eyes on what a copy of the hardback looks like. Rookie mistakes were made.

I revised the book, included a dedication page, table of contents and and about the author section at the end. With a slightly different cover. The second edition, is really the definitive edition compared to the first print.

For those of y’all who bought it, not to worry. I am in the process of formatting my next novel to be published. It will be available in about four weeks. So here’s what I’m gonna do; for those of you who bought the hardback first edition send me a personal message, with a picture of the book. I will give you an address to send the book. If you send me that book, along with $10, I will send you the new edition, signed by me with a personalized message.

Not only will I send you a copy signed by me, when The Black Quill’s Lament is available, you will receive assigned copy. Again, snap a picture of you holding the book, send it to me in a personal message. I will tell you where to send the book, and we will discuss how to send the $10.

Sending me the book and the $10, will buy you a new edition signed by me and the new novel as soon as it’s out.

Love y’all,
-Remi
