This is my scaley baby Syn, a full blooded veiltail male betta. We bought him from a local aquarium shop called Ocean Aquirum on January 17, 2017 and he was born on August 17, 2016.
Mom got back into the hobby of betta keeping when she and her children bought some bettas from Ocean Flower Aquarium. Mom and dad decided after a week to check out another local aquarium shop called Ocean Aquarium. Once mom entered the shop and saw their display of bettas, mom because super excided. That’s when she wanted to get back into the hobby. It took her while to find which bettas she wanted since there were about 50+ bettas in the shop. Me and the other fish were the only butterfly bettas that the shop had, so she thought we were the best choice. Once she was happy, dad also bought some other stuff for us. We didn’t get our 10-gallon tank yet but she did have a couple of 1-gallon vases to housed us in until she was able to get us our tanks. We went to our forever home. Mom had the children decorate our 1-gallon tanks which the children loved to do. I became a favorite of the oldest boy and next to his plakat. The oldest boy would help mom take care of with daily water changes and feedings. One of my favorite decoration was a blue house cave that my oldest boy chose for me. I spent most of my days inside of the cave and/or hiding inside one of the colorful plastic plants that my oldest girl had chosen for me. Once mom had gotten me my 10-gallon divided tank, I didn’t survive more than 3 days. I believe it was too stressful for me.
