Thanks for the birthday greetings Marc!~ Hope all is well with you!~ Come see me at My Father's Place Sunday, October 4!!~

A big happy birthday to Maria Muldaur! I had the privilege of working on several projects with her. Guesting on Sleep Labeef's record, she was the initial producer for our Tribute Sister Rosetta tribute, and guesting on Duke Robillard's Dames of Rhythm. Here's a photo with Sleepy and me. I'm desperately trying to be an adult. Needless to say, it didn't work. Here's a track from that session: Raining In My Heart, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kRXfIoJcX40&list=RDkRXfIoJcX40&start_radio=1

I am just heartbroken & heartsick over Dolly Parton's passing!~She was truly a ✨ Bright Pure Light ✨in this dark world who touched & inspired so many the world over, & I know losing her has deeply affected us all!~In 1973, way before Dolly had become a huge star, I recorded her lovely song Tennessee Mountain Home w/Linda Ronstadt on my first album (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhdGlaeRTts) & Dolly was so tickled that someone had recorded her song, she sent me a great big mounted photo of herself (see below) with this inscription:: "~With love and friendly wishes~ THANK YOU Maria~ Dolly Parton~A fan of yours~" I later met her, & she couldn't have been more sweet, loving, gracious, & funny!~She was deeply loved not just for all of her her wonderful Music, but because her Beautiful Spirit truly Emanated ✨✨Light & Love ✨ in everything she did with every pore of her Being~She was the closest thing to an Angel most of us have ever seen~Shine on Dolly & Light up the sky on our darkest nights! ~
🙏❤️🎶✨✨
