If you happened to tune into Shwotime/Paramonunt+ this weekend, you may have seen someone familiar 😉. Though brief, seeing my face in one of the biggest tv franchises was something little Marcus only ever dreamed about. And Kristen Ritter and Michael C. Hall were incredibly wonderful and so inspiring to work with.

This moment of course wouldn't have happened without my amazing manager Jax and the team at Kreativ Media Partners!

A real pinch me moment. Here's to the next adventure!

I’ve wanted to expand my career more in the on-camera side for a while and it’s so true what they say: you only need 1 YES to start the journey! 🎥 🎭

A huge thank you to my manager Jax Hillard and the amazing team at Kreativ Media Partners for their unwavering support. 👊🏾

What a weekend! I met some of the most lovely people ever, performed in a GORGEOUS theater, and got to reprise a role I originated in 2018! UNBREAKABLE was a turning point in both my life and career and I’m forever grateful to River City Mixed Chorus for asking me to join them on this journey telling stories of important figures from past and present.

Now off to the next adventure…

Let’s do it again! Andrew Lippa’s UNBREAKABLE was the show that changed my life forever. It was my first foray into musical theater, and the show that helped me realize the power in living my authentic truth.

So I immediately said yes after being asked to join River City Mixed Chorus in Omaha, NE next month to help tell these incredible stories one more time in a 1-night only concert.

With 1 week left in Milwaukee, I’m excited to return home soon and hit the ground running. My next project, a one-man show titled “There Is No Hatred Here”, tells the story of a young man’s growth into Black militancy, his turbulent relationship with his pacifist father, a prominent minister, and the resolution of their relationship during the Civil Rights era.

Written by Thomas Robert Simpson of AfroSolo Theatre Company, I’m incredibly privileged to help tell this remarkable story. I hope you can join us for this presentation during the 3rd annual New Roots Festival in SF presented by The San Francisco Bay Area Theatre Company! Tix 🎟️ available now at sfbatco.org
