olor raised in San Francisco. Still Here is made possible with the generous support of the Q***r Cultural Center, the San Francisco Arts Commission, GFTA, and the California Arts Council. Each year, Still Here asks how we can support each other in the aftermath of such incredible loss our community faced in the 80’s and 90’s and how we can stand up for each other in the face of ongoing loss today? Still Here invites community to join us as we re-imagine, re-invent, and re-examine San Francisco’s (q***r) history around AIDS, sexuality, and community. Still Here stakes a claim to this city, disrupting the assumption that everyone in San Francisco is from somewhere else, and exposes essential narratives about coming out, class and economic disparity, and the meaning of home and family in a “gay mecca.”

By sharing their San Francisco stories, Still Here's artists add their voices to discourse about San Francisco and remind us that they are steadily “Still Here.”"

This year we are hosting the final reading at the Latino Reading Room A&B at the main branch of the SFPL (100 Larkin St).

🔮This location is accessible via Civic Center BART
🔮ASL interpretation is available upon request! Please dm us at by 6/4
🔮The main building is wheelchair accessible
🔮KN95 masks will be provided at the event
🔮We will be serving snacks and light refreshments at the end of the event inside the Reading Room.
🔮Please note that cleaning products used in this location’s bathroom are not fragrance-free. We will be providing our own fragrance-free soap for use in the event bathroom and encourage guests to arrive fragrance-free.
