Have a Luffy mindset. ⚓️
“It’s not about if I can. I’m doing this because I want to. I decided long ago I was gonna be King of the Pirates.”
That quote hits me every time.
I’m not building The Jems Universe because I’m trying to prove I can create an animated series. I’m building it because God placed this dream in my heart when I was a little girl. Long before I knew what animation pipelines, pitch decks, or fundraising were, I knew I wanted to tell stories that inspire people to live courageously and pursue their dreams.
Today, I have a meeting with a studio that reached out to me. There are no promises, just a conversation. But knowing that people who have worked on projects like Hasbro, Mattel, and Rick and Morty are willing to sit down and hear the vision gives me confidence that I’m moving in the right direction.
Whether this meeting changes everything or simply becomes another step in the journey, I’m grateful.
Sometimes faith isn’t believing you can do it.
Sometimes it’s deciding, long ago, that you’re going to pursue the dream God gave you and refusing to quit.
