In the heart of tradition, a new voice rises.
This stunning mixed-media piece from Hamze Farhadi’s “Miniature Collection” beautifully reimagines the rich visual language of traditional Persian art. Farhadi skillfully blends intricate floral motifs and architectural details with a contemporary, fragmented composition.
The painting is a tapestry of stories: a central female figure, adorned in a patterned veil, looks out with a gaze that feels both ancient and immediate. Surrounding her are vignettes of pastoral life—a shepherd with his flock, a man carrying fodder, and a mother holding her child. Each element is rendered in a striking palette of teal, turquoise, peach, and deep black, creating a powerful sense of place and culture.
But beyond the visual beauty lies a profound commentary on the contemporary situation of women in Iran. Rising along the wild shoreline of Andenes on Norway’s Arctic coast, The Whale is officially taking shape. Designed by visionary architecture studio Dorte Mandrup, this upcoming cultural landmark looks like a giant tail lifting gracefully out of the sea. 
Opening its doors in June 2027, this extraordinary visitor center will blend science, art, and storytelling to explore the deep connection between humans and marine life. Visitors will even be able to walk across its sweeping, stone-covered roof to take in panoramic views of the Norwegian Sea—right where whales migrate. 
We can’t wait to see this stunning tribute to the ocean come to life! 🌊🇳🇴
