Interpol at Channel 24, Sacramento – April 8, 2026: A Night That Hit Different
Last week I had the chance to catch Interpol on April 8th at Channel 24 in Sacramento, and it turned into one of those nights that reminds you why live music still matters.
Over the years, Interpol has become a deeply meaningful band to me. Their songs — with that signature dark, atmospheric post-punk sound — have been the soundtrack to so many late nights, introspective drives, and moments of quiet reflection. There’s something in Paul Banks’ lyrics and delivery that just connects on a personal level. So standing there in the crowd, with Paul Banks right in front of me, delivering those cool, sharp vocals with his usual effortless intensity… it was a genuinely good feeling. Almost surreal.
The set that night was tight and powerful. They kicked things off strong and wove through a mix of classics and fan favorites, including:
• Untitled
• No I in Th*****me
• C’mere
• All the Rage Back Home (which absolutely lit the room up)
• Rest My Chemistry
• Obstacle 1
• Anywhere
• Into the Night
…and several more. The energy was raw and immersive — that driving bass, jagged guitars, and hypnotic rhythms filled the venue perfectly. It felt intimate yet explosive, exactly what you want from an Interpol show.
Just a few days later, on April 11th, they brought that same fire to Coachella 2026 in the Mojave Tent. They opened with “All the Rage Back Home” again, and from the clips and reports, the desert crowd lost it instantly. The shortened festival set still packed a punch, hitting highlights like No I in Th*****me, C’mere, The Rover, Rest My Chemistry, Obstacle 1, See Out Loud, and closing on Evil. Even in a festival slot, they proved they can command a stage like few others.
The band is currently on the road supporting their recent material while gearing up for a brand new album (expected sometime in 2026 — very exciting news for longtime fans). After Coachella Weekend 1, they’ll hit a few more California and Southwest dates before Weekend 2, then head overseas later in the year with stops in Australia and Europe.
If you’ve ever connected with Interpol’s music the way I have, do yourself a favor and catch them on this run. Whether it’s a club show like Channel 24 or a big-stage moment at Coachella, they still deliver that unmistakable NYC edge with heart and precision.
Nights like April 8th are exactly why Interpol remains one of my favorite bands. Grateful I got to be there.

“Interpol absolutely killed it last night at Channel 24 in Sacramento! The band was tight, atmospheric, and sounded better than ever.
The absolute peak of the night was when they dropped into ‘Not Even Jail’ the second those opening chords hit, it felt completely out of this world. The guitars swelled huge, the rhythm section was locked in, and Paul’s vocals were haunting and powerful. The whole venue lost it easily one of the best live song moments I’ve ever experienced.
Channel 24 is quickly becoming one of the best venues around. The whole place is so easy to access, absolutely beautiful inside, with great sound and solid sightlines. It made the entire show feel special and intimate.
Opener Model/Actriz set a perfect moody, noisy tone to start the night.

Interpol -Sacramento Shows at Channel 24 (April 8 & 9, 2026)

Interpol Returns to Sacramento: Post-Punk Icons Bring Their Signature Darkness and New Energy
After more than a decade since their last Sacramento headline show, Interpol is back for two intimate nights at the newly renovated Channel 24 on April 8 and 9, 2026, with support from the excellent noise-rock outfit Model/Actriz.
Formed in New York City in the early 2000s, Interpol quickly became one of the defining bands of the post-punk revival. With their brooding aesthetics, sharp suits, and atmospheric sound, they carved out a distinct identity dark, cinematic, and emotionally charged. Paul Banks’ deep, distinctive baritone, Daniel Kessler’s jagged interlocking guitar lines, and the precise rhythm section have remained the band’s sonic signature for over 20 years.
Their most recent full-length album, The Other Side of Make-Believe (2022), showed a more introspective and melodic side of the band while still delivering the tension and grandeur fans love. Now, in 2026, Interpol is in a particularly exciting phase: they have officially confirmed that new music is on the way, with fresh tracks already being debuted live on tour. Early reports describe the upcoming material as more upbeat and high-energy compared to recent records, while still rooted in the band’s signature melancholy.
Adding to the anticipation is the current touring lineup. Drummer Sam Fogarino (a founding member who co-wrote and played on the new record) is sitting out this leg of the tour due to ongoing recovery from spinal surgery. Filling in is Urian Hackney (from The Armed), who has been bringing fresh fire and power to the live shows.
These Sacramento dates come right before Interpol’s Coachella appearances, making Channel 24 the perfect intimate setting to experience the band in a club environment something much rarer these days than their usual festival and arena runs.
Expect a set heavy on classics like “Evil,” “Obstacle 1,” “Slow Hands,” and “PDA,” mixed with deep cuts and the first tastes of whatever new material they decide to unleash. Interpol live remains a masterclass in moody atmosphere, razor-sharp musicianship, and that unmistakable late-night tension that made them legends.
If you’re going to either night (or both), get ready for a dark, stylish, and emotionally intense evening. Sacramento is in for two very special shows.

Muse just dropped their first proper taste of the new era with “Be With You” — the lead single from their upcoming 10th album The Wow! Signal (out June 26).
And damn, it hits like a cosmic transmission straight from Matt Bellamy’s wildest obsessions.
The track opens with this haunting, grand church organ that feels almost spiritual, before sliding into sleek electronica and then absolutely exploding into the kind of blistering, stadium-sized guitar rock that only Muse can deliver. It’s part love song, part existential quest — blending that signature dramatic flair with fresh future-bass influences and a hopeful, searching energy that feels new for them.
“Be With You” isn’t trying to be another “Knights of Cydonia” or “Uprising.” Instead, it feels like Muse evolving again: bigger production, emotional depth, and that unmistakable theatrical intensity we’ve been missing. After the raw edge of last year’s standalone single “Unravelling,” this one leans more cinematic and anthemic. It builds and builds until you’re fist-pumping without even realizing it.
Is it their most groundbreaking moment? Maybe not on first listen. But it’s undeniably Muse — grandiose, ambitious, and impossible to ignore. If this is the direction The Wow! Signal is heading (cosmic mystery meets existential hope), I’m fully locked in.
The band that once made rock feel like science fiction is still out here sending signals from another dimension. And I’m here for every frequency.

🌫️ Radiohead Update: A Massive Return on the Horizon
Good news for Radiohead fans — the band is preparing a thoughtful, continent-by-continent world tour starting in 2027.
According to guitarist Ed O’Brien, they’ll play exactly 20 shows per year, focusing on one continent at a time. No exhausting global marathons — just deep, meaningful runs that match their artistic spirit. After their strong 2025 European shows, the anticipation is building for North America and beyond.
Meanwhile, Thom Yorke is hard at work on a new solo album, expected later in 2026.
2026 feels like the quiet before the storm: solo projects brewing, old records calling us back, and that signature Radiohead tension in the air. Interpol Debut Brand New Song “See Out Loud” Live in São Paulo – First New Music Since 2022! 🎸
The NYC post-punk legends just gave fans an early taste of what’s to come on their 2026 world tour. During their show at Audio in São Paulo, Brazil on March 19, Interpol surprised the crowd by dropping “See Out Loud” midway through the set — their first new material since the acclaimed 2022 album The Other Side of Make-Believe.
Described as propulsive and danceable, the track features the band trading vocals, with guitarist Daniel Kessler stepping up to the mic for parts of this high-energy jam.
