Welcoming the oldest newest member of the Pitchforks, Elijah Yun! Straight out of the unforgiving streets of San Antonio, Texas, Eli made a name for himself playing piano, and, as he states, “moving bricks”, so it appears he may have been some type of construction worker. A lesser known fact about Eli is that he is also a pickle ball prodigy, and plays for the Duke team. He was apparently known in his hometown as “tiny pickle”, but the guys that told me that didn’t even know he played, kinda weird. Eli transferred to duke out of Colorado college, making him technically a sophomore despite him being a first year pitchfork. When asked about any worries that he may be out of touch with the Duke youth, he replied, “Don’t worry, I have a little freshman inside of me”.

When it comes to Duke Eli is going pre med. When asked about his intentions as a medical practitioner, Eli replied that he was going to do the impossible: cure TPS (tiny pickle syndrome). Eli is majoring in chemistry and music, saying he wants to be the next GOAT of the music industry. When asked who the GOAT currently is, he began rapping “Icon” by Jaden Smith.

Eli is a Tenor 1 for the Pitchforks. With his beautiful, smooth, and soft voice he is predicted to get many solos in his future. He hopes he may eventually sing “WAP” by Cardi B. “I hope we can add some choreo” Eli stated. Eli is simply an inspiration to the community of pitchforks who are all more than excited to have him. Best of luck Eli, keep forking in the free world.

Enter Quentin Meyer, one of The Pitchforks’s new baritones. Trucking the devastating one hour flight from Pelham, NY, Quentin’s super hype to FINALLY not be the youngest guy in a band of brothers. Where talent meets an inability to read sheet music, he’s already got his Chris Stapleton level vocals to show off, singing “Starting Over” in the shower with his roommate, Peter. On campus, you’ll find him at Panera Bread (somehow always at the same table), jamming out to Daniel Caesar in his headphones while eating his FAVORITE snack licorice 💀.

Standing at an about average 5’10, Quentin is the forks’s next star basketball player, rivaling his cousin Maxine Meyer (for all intents and purposes that’s a joke) for a walk-on spot which he’s sure to take (…). If that career doesn’t hold out, the artistic side of him is ready to take over. Though he wouldn’t look it, Quentin has STARRED ✨in theatrical productions, including the roles of Charlemagne in Pippin and the PRESTIGIOUS role of King Julian 👑 in Madagascar (he’s taking applications for a Mort as of now. deadline is next Friday). The visual arts aren’t safe from this handsome stud either: Quentin’s got a knack for drawing ✍️and painting 🎨miniatures in his spare time in his room with Peter (we don’t question what goes on in there…).

On a real note, his renditions of “All of Me” by John Legend and “I’m Still Standing” by Elton John will leave you breathless (just like when you look at him). The Pitchforks are excited to hear how his incredible voice will grow over the next four years. Welcome to The Pitchforks Quentin!

Theo Hua is simply outstanding. If you have ever been walking around campus and all of the sudden been blinded by an unimaginable amount of swagger, chances are you just walked past a Theo. Don’t freak out! Just take a deep breath, get comfortable with the fact that you can never attain that level of smoking hot, and then move on with your day. Don’t ask for his number either; I’ll save you the speculation, you definitely aren’t cool enough.

Theo, our newest 5’6” T1, hails from Roslyn, NY. Both the shortest, youngest of three siblings, and youngest pitchforks member (17 years old! Hands off you freaks), Theo is little in many ways. Thankfully, his physical size is more than made up by his big voice. We don’t think we could go a day not hearing his silky smooth runs and crispy high notes. For some reason he auditioned for baritone? . Now that he’s brought balance to the pitchforks by joining T1, everything is good.

Outside of singing, this larping ahh Filipino (he’s secretly Taiwanese and Thai) is a multitalented maverick. His Toad and Kardashian impressions are spot on and his extensive theater knowledge are nothing to laugh at. If he one day learns how to do contemporary dance like he wants to, it’s over. Theo, being the smart nugget he is, is studying biophysics, which we wish we studied too so we could figure out the biophysics of his one in a million set of vocal cords. We are beyond excited to have Theo in the Pitchforks — Welcome to the family!

What them hands do? Solve Rubix cubes!? Dylan Mims, our froshest Tenor 2, can solve a Rubix cube in 15 seconds with his eyes closed! Don’t ask him to do it on the spot, though…

Dylan’s psychic abilities extend beyond spinning colored plastic squares. He has been lurking in the shadows of the Duke Pitchforks since his parents got down and dirty in the Duke chapel choir. As a freshman in high school, Dylan was listening to every Pitchforks song in our discography, and tracking us down to a show close to his home in the California Bay Area. That’s commitment.

Dylan’s a Capella journey did not only begin in the Duke Chapel. Dylan was also raised as a musician who plays piano, sings, and recently picked up the trumpet to join the Duke University Marching Band. Dylan’s sweet, smooth, and energetic voice is perfect for singing Ed Sheeran, Charlie Puth, and Billy Joel, while his rich musical background allows him to learn music quickly, and gives him a sickeningly charming stage presentation.

Dylan Mims believes that he is racially ambiguous, but his farmer’s tan and the fact that he says he listens to Bad Bunny aren’t fooling any of us! Even though Dylan’s got swagger moves and his hips don’t lie, at the end of the day he’s just a Cali white boy. That being said, we can’t wait to watch Dylan grow as a vocalist in these next four years. After 18 long years of stalking and bribing us, please welcome Dylan Mims to the Pitchforks!

If you’re ever walking around campus and you’re greeted with a spirited dap-up and a grin that seems it must have been stolen right off the face of a Plants vs. Zombies SUNflower, chances are you ran into one of the Pitchforks’ newest Baritones, ERIC SUN! This friendly freshman hails directly from enemy territory in Chapel Hill, but don’t worry, you’ll only find him toting the BEST shade of blue North Carolina has to offer.

Eric “Wabi Sabi” Sun inspired the group with his impressive voice and impeccable ability to know exactly when someone just sang a D. After flying us all to the moon with his stunning take on the Frank Sinatra classic, he landed us in José Martí International Airport with his fluent Spanglish edition of “Señorita” by Camilla Cabello and Shawn Mendes. We love every opportunity to hear our little Sunion Ring bless us with his vocals.

When this handsome, 6-foot-tall, jacked rockstar (only slightly exaggerated) isn’t serenading the masses with the Forks, you’ll find him doing some precise whacking in Club Tennis or tickling the keys in Chamber Group (or tickling his lab partner during lecture). He’s quite the smarty and is studying Biology on a pre-med track because he loves helping people (isn’t he just the sweetest). Feel free to trust him with all of your secrets because he forgets EVERYTHING, and he’ll probably be too busy pursuing his major bucket list item of the moment—catching a sword fish—to put too much thought into it. We’re beyond excited to welcome him to this Forks family!!

Boy oh boy where do we even begin. Peter... our amazing tenor Pitchforks brother. We have loved Peter ever since we first laid eyes on him. The way Peter sings at practice. Peter’s silky semi-rough voice. That gorgeous bod. We would do anything for Peter.

We wish it were possible to freeze time so we would never have to watch Peter stop singing. His amazing singing will let him conquer everything. Peter is even amazing outside of singing, where his hands that give you a simply magnificent massage, his cute wiggling of ears, his partial juggling skills, and his beautifully spoken Chinese can get him anywhere (watch out, he will steal your heart!). We forever dread and weep, thinking of the day Peter will one day not sing. We remember when he first left Connecticut, his home town, and everyone’s hearts got broken into a million pieces. But a tear still fell from our right eye when we watched him sing for the first time; our glorious king deserved the best of the best at Duke.

Obviously there are some things that can be improved, like the fun fact that he hates mushrooms. But with his goal to go backpacking in Patagonia, and with his beautiful creativity of wanting to go to the bathroom ( #2) on that one toilet in Rick and Morty, not only has he changed the game of singing and the world forever, but he has eternally changed our world. And now he is getting older, but still the goat, our goat. We love you pookie bear, our glorious king, Peter Garrett.☺️♥️🫶🏻
