If you're really committed to keeping yourself consistently creating, it's gonna take what expert Ashlee from has to share in this interview today. She is ahh-mazing at productivity planning and scheduling. Her content will empower and refresh you around organizing your days and staying focused. One concept she shared I thought was fascinating was the three kinds of work there is on creative projects.
1. Decisions. It takes time for making decisions and most of the time people forget to set time aside for this. (What to call the project, what prices to charge, what platform to use, etc). Add in extra time for decision making.
2. Taking consistent action. Projects usually take longer than expected. Add in buffer time. If passing off the project for someone else to help you with it, add in two days.
3. Optimizing data/tweaking data. This can be editing your work, rewriting, checking analytics, view time, opt-in rates, etc. If something doesn't work great the first time, analyze it. If it did work great, what contributed to that?
Guard your heart from shiny objects, put them on an idea list, and get focused!
