Last month we had the opportunity to share a day with Chapman University's Acapella Singers! It was a light hearted and inspiring experience to meet college students and to learn from them!

We hope they visit us again soon!

Near the end of the last week of school before Winter Break, we performed with Wangenheim's Middle School's Choir class at their school. It was a wonderful opportunity to share music together and we're so proud of our young friends at WMS. Thank you for having us and we hope to sing with you all again in the new year! Congrats WMS!!!

After our MMHS concert, we brought Madrigals to Carmel Mountain Rehab & Healthcare Skilled Nursing Facility to share some holiday and Disney magic once more. Giving back to our community is one of our goals as a program and we are proud to provide a service like this to our community. Thank you to the facility for allowing our visit and huge thanks to our very own Candace McIntyre for coordinating our visit. Excellent job Communications Officer!

Our Winter Concert was a mix of holiday cheer and Disney magic and it was fun to share it with our family and friends. In addition, we added a new tradition to recognize our seniors with candle light and a traditional 4-part split of Silent Night which resulted in a few heartfelt tears. Thank you to all who attended our winter concert and for supporting our many activities! None of this would have been possible without you!

Singing for our Mira Mesa Town Council is always a treat and this year both CMS Int/Adv Choir and MMHS Madrigals shared some musical entertainment for everyone. Thank you again to our Town Council members for inviting us and giving us the opportunity!

MMHS Choral Program was able to sponsor 8 students to SDSU's High School Choral Festival earlier this year. They studied the music in advance and then had the opportunity to rehearse with more than 100 students across San Diego at SDSU under the direction of Dr. A***n Khaefi. After a full day of rehearsing music, they performed their work to family and friends at the evening concert located on SDSU's campus. Thank you to SDSU's Choral Program and Dr. Khaefi for the fun experience!

Council of the Great City Schools was hosted in San Diego this year and MMHS Madrigals was one of the featured groups to perform for our SDUSD community. We are still grateful to the opportunity and to the complimentary breakfast as well.

It has been an eventful year for us since the school year started and reaching out to our local middle schools has been a treat. Check out our fun choral exchange with Challenger Middle School's Int/Adv Choir class that happened earlier this year.
