Y'all, this is a celebration post for my creative film making friends.

The good people over at People People Media Foundation have found a distributor for their latest film: Clean Slate

CLEAN SLATE follows two friends in a Southern drug recovery program as they struggle to come to terms with their addiction and mental illness by making a short film about the pain they’ve caused their families.

We all know someone who is in recovery, or who should be. The point of telling this story was to encourage people to move toward health themselves, but then we (People People Media Foundation) discovered that the film deeply resonates with friends and family members of people living with addition. One test screener said, “This film changed my understanding of my brother who has an addiction. I’ve never seen his side of it. I will forgive him, and show this film to my parents because they could forgive him too.”

To help spread the word, a kickstarter was launched and I'm including the link below so you can help increase visibility and support the work. I've sponsored a non-profit screening and want to say thanks in advance for your consideration.

It is always amazing to be a part of a wedding. People express love in the most detailed ways. As I spent the day documenting moments big and small, I was reminded of a phrase attributed to Leonardo da Vinci:

"I dettagli fanno la perfezione e la perfezione non è un dettaglio"
"The details make perfection and perfection is not a detail"

Thanks for letting me see so many of the details on your wedding day! It was perfect.

PSA: Remember to create backup storage of your photos! Recommended practice is

1. Have 3 copies of digital files: two copies where you live/work (computer, external hard drive, cloud storage, USB, DVD, etc.) with a third copy hosted off-site in case of fire, flood, theft, etc.

2. Back up at regular intervals: Monthly, quarterly, or annually depending on how important it is for you to have them stored safely.

3. Replace storage every 5ish years for reliability and technological improvements.

It's obvious that I love photography... but I also love cooking and hospitality (as the child of any chef should). Here is a recent event our family hosted with our church to share healthy cooking and community skill building.
