This portrait is on Strathmore and I used Derwent and Prismacolor pencils.
This warrior fell in love with a puppy who brought a bright spot to the war zone. When the soldier had to return to his country, it was gut wrenching to leave the puppy behind.
So I created a course about how to draw dogs with colored pencils, to raise money. We were able to reunite a soldier with his beloved pet and now they are living happily ever after.
I used a black paper for that monochromatic look to make the war zone look bleak and then I used Prismacolor pencils to make the puppy pop off the paper so it would show how the puppy is a "bright spot" in a bleak world. I call this drawing "Bright Spot".
Feel free to share this with your friends and invite them to our 7 day Art Partee...www.ColoredPencilWebinar.com. It's going to be such a fun way to start this New Year... I have a hunch that 2020 will be our BEST year yet!
